 Hawawshi with bread




Ingredients


  •  Lamb: 500 grams (finely chopped)
  •  Onion: 2 pieces (finely chopped)
  • - White vinegar: 2 tbsp
  • - Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons (and an additional amount to grease loaves)
  • - Salt: one and a half teaspoons
  • - Black pepper: teaspoon
  •  Spices: a teaspoon and a half (mixed Arabic spices)
  •  Arabic bread: 5 loaves


Directions


  1. Put the meat, onion and vinegar in a bowl, add salt, black pepper and Arabic spices, and mix until combined.
  2. Form balls from the meat mixture and place them on a plate.
  3. Open the loaf of bread and roll out a ball of meat mixture inside it, then repeat the process until the quantity is finished.
  4. Brush the top of the loaves with vegetable oil, wrap each loaf in parchment paper and place in an oven tray.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C, then put the tray in the oven for 30 minutes until the hawawshi is cooked and served hot.
