- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 cups of white rice
- Half a glass of oil
- A tablespoon of chopped parsley
- A tablespoon of chopped mint (or a teaspoon of dry mint)
- Salt to taste
- Brown pepper to taste
- Cumin as desired
- A glass of tomato juice
Method:
- Finely chop the onion and fry in oil until yellow.
- Rice is added to it after being purified and washed well and stirred with it on a quiet fire.
- Then add parsley, mint, salt and brown pepper and stir everything on the fire for a minute or two.
- Add the tomato juice and let the mixture boil over the fire until the rice absorbs the tomato juice.
- Leave the mixture to cool and then use it for the filling.
- Note: the ingredients may be mixed together after rubbing the onion with salt and pepper and used in the filling, but the first method is better
- Parsley and mint may be roasted for a minute or two, in addition to onions after yellowing to strengthen the flavor .
